Regions from scans and surface inspections
|
Here’s a morning cup! Did you Know? You can create a region from scan point clouds. The created region can be from part of a single scan or part of multiple scans. Created regions can be managed in the layer manager in the scan tab. Creating a region is particularly useful in the surface inspection function. You can use that created region to compare to a horizontal plane, vertical plane, inclined plane, cylinder, vertical cylinder, or an imported surface file (DTM, TTM, DXF, RXL, TXL, 12da). In the Surface Inspection tool, you can also compare Scan to Scan under the Method selection.
For example, the surface inspection tool lets you compare scans of a floor surface to highlight trouble high or low spots.
