Here’s a morning cup! Did you Know? Trimble RTX services can greatly increase productivity in spotty cell service areas. Convergence times in most of North America are under 5 minutes and in some areas around a minute. Accuracy is 2 cm horizontal and 5 cm vertical making this a good alternative to setting up a traditional base and rover RTK system. When it comes to technical support there are only two issues that are common with RTX. Dealing with an expired subscription or the Auto frequency did not select the correct channel. With an expired subscription, there are a few ways to install the new code on the receiver. You can connect to the receiver’s Wi-Fi using a TSC5, TSC7, or laptop computer and open a web browser and type 192.168.142.1. Once logged in, you can go to receiver options and at the bottom of the page, paste the code for the new RTX subscription. With an android device like the TSC5 or TDC650, you can use the GNSS status application. Once you pair your receiver via Bluetooth, go to the licensing tab and apply the option code. If you are using an MGIS data collector, use Trimble Mobile Manager to install the key. In Trimble Access, you can manually set the correct frequency and bit rate once an RTX survey has been started by clicking on the satellite icon with a yellow x at the top of the screen, then selecting options and changing it to custom from the dropdown list. Input 1555.8080 for the Frequency and 2400 for the bit rate and hit accept.
