Keypad shortcuts for navigating software

To...

Press...
Display the menu Menu key (short press)
Display Favorites The menu appears with the Favorites screen open. Use the right or down arrow keys to select a Favorite item.
Display Return to To close Favorites press the left arrow key and then use the up or down arrow keys to select a different menu item.
Display Instrument functions or GNSS 
functions screen		 Menu key (long press) 
The Instrument functions screen appears if the software is connected to a conventional instrument. 
The GNSS functions screen if the software is connected to a GNSS receiver or is not connected to a receiver or instrument.
Display the target/prism selection screen Ctrl + P
Show or hide the GNSS eBubble Ctrl + L when connected to a GNSS receiver that supports the eBubble
Display the full-screen map Ctrl + M
Display the Review job screen Ctrl + R
Display the Key in a note screen Ctrl + N
To access the feature code library when keying in a note, press the Space key twice.
Switch through all open screens in the software Ctrl + Tab or Ctrl + Shift + Tab to move through them in reverse order. 
Open screens are listed in the Return to list in the Favorites screen.
Switch between plan and cross-section view Tap or , or press the Tab key. 
The plan and cross-section views are available when staking out an alignment or when surveying or reviewing a road or tunnel using the Roads or Tunnels app. 
Display the Windows Start menu  Windows key 
Display the Windows desktop Windows key + D
Lock the device orientation Windows key + O
Sort columns Tap the column heading. Tap the column heading again to reverse the sort order. 
Softkeys Ctrl + 1, 2, 3, or 4. 
Press the number that corresponds to the position of the softkey (1 through 4, left to right).
Access the second row of softkeys Shift
Move between fields or items in a list  Up arrow, down arrow, Tab, Back Tab
Open a drop-down list Right arrow
Select items in the dropdown lists  Press the first character of the list item. 
If multiple items start with the same character, press the first character again to move through the list. 
Select a check box or button Space (short press)
Delete a job or project Ctrl + Del
To select multiple items in the map or in the Point Manager Press and hold Ctrl and then tap the items. 
To select a range of items in the Point Manager Press and hold Shift and then tap the items at the start and end of your selection. 
Enable/disable a Favorite function or open the appropriate screen Press the configured function key on the controller when viewing any screen in the software. 
Alternatively, tap and press the numeric key on the controller keyboard corresponding to the button for the favorite (1–9, 0, - or .) to enable/disable the function or open the 
appropriate screen.
Select an item in the Instrument functions screen Press the numeric key on the controller keyboard corresponding to the button for the favorite (1–9, 0, - or .) to enable/disable the 
function or open the appropriate screen. 
If you have configured a function key on the controller as a shortcut to an instrument function, you can press the configured function key when viewing any screen in the software. 
Select an item in the GNSS functions screen Press the numeric key on the controller keyboard corresponding to the button for the favorite (1–9, 0, - or .) to enable/disable the 
function or open the appropriate screen. 
If you have configured a function key on the controller as a shortcut to a GNSS function, you can press the configured function key when viewing any screen in the software. 
Switch between a GNSS and a conventional survey Tap in the status line area of the status bar. 
Measure a check shot Ctrl + K
Initiate a measurement from the Measure 
codes screen		 Press the numeric key on the controller keyboard corresponding to the button for the code. 
When the buttons are set to a 3 x 3 layout, keys 7, 8, 9, activate the top row of buttons, keys 4, 5, 6 activate the middle row of buttons, keys 1, 2, 3 activate the bottom row of buttons. When the buttons are set to a 4 x 3 layout, keys 0, - and . activate the bottom row of buttons. 
Select a group of codes in the Measure 
codes screen		 Press A to Z to move to group pages 1 to 26. Key A opens group 1, Key B opens group 2... and key Z opens group 26. 
This method is not available if the Multi-code button is enabled.
Compute a distance between two points

Enter the point names in the distance field, separated by a hyphen. For example, to compute the distance between points 2 
and 3, enter "2-3".

This method works with most alphanumeric point names, but it does not support point names that already contain a hyphen.
Compute an azimuth from two points Enter the point names in the Azimuth field, separated by a hyphen. For example, to compute the azimuth from point 2 to 
point 3, enter "2-3". 
This method works with most alphanumeric point names, but it does not support point names that already contain a hyphen.
Copy Ctrl + C
Paste Ctrl + V
Save a screen capture of the current screen  Fn + 0 to save the image to the clipboard. 
Windows + Fn + 0 save the image as a file in 
the Pictures\Screenshots folder.
Close the software Ctrl + Q
