Trimble Access RTK with TDL450 Survey Style Setup

1. From any screen in Access, click on , then choose Settings/Survey

2. Click New. Type RTK as the Style Style type will be GNSS. Click Enter/Accept.

3. Click Rover options.

In this example, we are configuring the survey style using an R12 receiver and a TDL450 radio. So some settings may vary depending on the equipment you are working with.

4. On page two, you can pick your correct antenna. Page 3 you can set your antenna height if you are using a fixed rover rod.

5. On page 4 you can set the satellites that you can Then click Accept.

 

Ensure you are Bluetoothed to your Rover before you go into your Rover Radio settings (See Bluetooth Manual on website for Bluetooth information)* If you exit the Survey Styles, make sure you click the “STORE” Button before you escape*

6. Now Click on Rover Radio

7. Type will be Radio and Radio will be Receiver Internal. You will see a “Connect” button at the bottom of the page if you are bluetoothed to your rover. Click “Connect”. Choose your frequency, radio operating mode and base radio mode. Click Accept.

8. Click Accept Go to Base options next.

9. Ensure your Survey Type is RTK. Your Broadcast format needs to match the format you choose in Rover options. So in this case we will use CMRx.

 

10. You can also set your antenna height if you are using a fixed height

11. Make sure to choose all of the constellations your receiver can track. Click Accept.

 

12. Next, click Base data

13. Make sure the Receiver port is set to port 1 and baud rate/parity to 38400/None (unless set differently in the TDL450). Click Connect.

14. Below are settings for the TDL450 Radio. Make sure your frequency and base radio mode match the Rover radio. Click Accept.

15. Click Accept, again.

16. Your RTK Survey Style is complete. You must click “Store” before you exit the Survey Styles, or it will not retain your settings.
