Trimble Access version 2022.10 and later is now able to receive depths from Radiodetection RD8000 or newer cable and pipeline locators. Vivax Metrotech vLoc3-pro receivers are also capable when fitted with a Bluetooth module. Using GNSS or convention survey styles, Trimble Access will store a pair of points: a ground point measurement and a vector from the ground point measurement to the utility, using the depth received from the connected utility locator. There is also an option to input a pipe size to calculate the depth measurement to the top of the pipe. You will need to configure an FXL code that matches the ULD file associated with the brand of locator you are using.
